Egg Ceremony: Egg Sculpture

Made out of cardboard and decorated with the inspiration of pysanky-the ancient tradition of egg decoration that uses iconic symbols that have meanings that transcend cultures.

Diamonds = Wisdom.

Spirals and Curls= Eternity and Searching For Truth.

Dots= Stars and the-many-things.

Black & White Combination of colors signifies grief.

Yellow was a color I used that was informed by psychology rather than Pysanky. Yellow signifies danger.

The character of Lucy was trapped inside of the egg. She played the drum and the beat was the backbone of the performance, as a spirit of who she once was.
